What data do we collect and process?

You can generally visit our website without having to provide any personal information. Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects connection and usage data from the accessing computer in so-called server log files. In particular, the log files contain information about the browser and operating system used, the date and time, IP address, service provider, websites previously visited by the user and, where applicable, geographical information. We also record the page from which you access our website, which pages on our server are visited and how long visitors remain on a page. This data is used to ensure the functionality and trouble-free operation of the website, to safeguard our information technology systems and to improve our online presence.

If you place an order in our shop, register with us or contact us, we will ask you for certain information, such as your email address, billing and delivery address and your age, so that we can process and deliver your order or respond to your enquiry.

reCAPTCHA

To protect enquiries submitted via online forms, we use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Inc. (Google). For this purpose, your input is transmitted to Google and used there. You can contact us in various ways via our website. We offer comprehensive personal support through our contact forms. Depending on your enquiry, the relevant contact form will ask for your title, first and last name, email address, customer number and, where applicable, your address.

When the message is sent, additional data is transmitted to us, including your IP address, date / time. During the submission process, your consent is obtained for the processing of this data and reference is made to this Privacy Policy.

Alternatively, you can contact us via the email addresses info@catherine.de, schulung@catherine.de and presse@catherine.de. In this case, the user's personal data transmitted with the email will be stored and used by our employees to make contact. It will not be disclosed to third parties.

If you would like us to contact you by telephone, please provide us with your telephone number. All data arising from your contact with us will be used to process your enquiry. It will not be used for any other advertising purposes. Any other data processed during the submission process is used to prevent misuse of the contact form and ensure the security of our information technology systems.

Subscription to our newsletter

You can subscribe to a free newsletter on our website. This newsletter allows you to receive information by email about current products, trends, prize draws and other news.The data entered in the form is transmitted to us; in addition to your title, this includes your first and last name so that we can address you personally. When you subscribe to the newsletter, additional system information such as your IP address, time and date is transmitted to us. By confirming “Subscribe to newsletter”, you consent to the use of your email address. You may withdraw this consent at any time. 

When you place an order in our online shop, we require certain information from you in order to deliver and invoice the goods within the scope of the contractual relationship. We verify your billing and delivery address because we want to ensure that your orders arrive correctly.

When processing your orders, we use the PayPal service provider, to whom we provide the payment information for the orders and who handles the billing on our behalf. 

Billing data relating to orders may be transmitted to third parties where necessary for the purpose of debt collection. In this context, we reserve the right, in particular, to assign our claim to a debt collection agency or commission such an agency to collect our claim. We also reserve the right to transmit information about outstanding payments to credit agencies. This will, of course, always be done in strict compliance with statutory provisions.

For the dispatch of goods, we work with service providers to whom we provide certain order, delivery and, where applicable, payment data. This includes, in particular, names and delivery details.

General information and rights

You can request confirmation from us as to whether we process your personal data. Under certain conditions, you may request that the processing of your data be restricted or that your data be deleted.

As a user, you can close your customer account and have your data deleted at any time, provided that no purchases have been made in the online shop and no other contractual agreements have been entered into with us. If the data has been used to fulfil a purchase in the online shop, it can only be deleted once the retention periods resulting from contractual and/ or statutory obligations have expired.

Of course, upon request, we will inform you whether and which personal data concerning you is stored by us. In this case, we require sufficient proof that you are entitled to receive this information (authentication) to prevent third parties from gaining access to your data. We continually strive to ensure that your data is accurate and up to date. Nevertheless, if incorrect information has been stored, please let us know so that we can correct it immediately.

You may also assert your statutory rights directly against us or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

In compliance with data protection regulations, we will also delete the personal data stored concerning you without any action on your part if it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was stored or if its storage is unlawful for other statutory reasons. In some cases provided for by law (e.g. statutory retention obligations), your data may be blocked instead of deleted.
